The Little Balkans Review revitalization started in the summer of 2008 atop old, creaking ladders in Pittsburg, Kansas. The Picasso Brothers, a painting crew comprised mostly of teachers from the area, were putting the final touches on a house on the west side of town when the idea of revitalizing The Little Balkans Review was put forth by Alfred Ortolani. This idea was a rare topic of concurrence for the members of the crew and became the focal point of most conversations that took place after the day's work and continued into the post painting season. After attending the annual Gene DeGruson Memorial Lecture and receiving the blessing and support of Shelby Horn and Ted Watts, the Little Balkans Review revitalization officially started. Calls for submission were sent to colleges in the area and the editing process began. Weekly, the editors of the magazine meet and discuss the issues of starting a non-profit journal or enjoy the submissions that arrive during the week. Publication of the first issue is expected sometime this spring or early summer. The Editors Wayne Bockelman - Science Teacher, Rogue Scholar Honorary Editor
